November 2005 News
  • We have 4 new members!! Danielle, Justin, MaKenna, Andrea. Welcome!! Nov. balance is about $3065. Historians are requesting that you bring any pics you have of events that took place in Sept, Oct, or Nov. For example, American Royal and the Awards Banquet. Club Days will be Feb 25th. Annual shopping trip for our adopted family will be Dec. 11th. Please bring $5 from each 4-H'er to our Dec. meeting to go towards shopping for the family we've adopted. Give the money to Brenda, Danielle or Justin. Also, bring card-making supplies (old card fronts or new cards, markers, stickers, ribbon, glue, crayons, etc.). Come early to the next meeting (6:15PM) to make your ornaments and cards to give to the nursing home. Finally, bring canned/boxed foods for Harvesters. This is a community service. We'll be going to the nursing home after shopping. It all begins at 2PM and ends at 5PM. Awards Banquet is 11/12 at 6PM. We're doing something new this year - We're having a 4-H Gift Exchange! Each 4-Her is suppose to bring a general gift worth no more than $5 to exchange at the Dec. Meeting. Make sure it is appropriate for a boy or girl and wrapped. Clarissa, our Parlamentarian, presented 2 different kinds of motions in a club, Then we practiced them. The 2005/2006 Budget was proposed and approved. We had committee sign-ups. Make sure you sign up for at least one. Curtice's & Hodgdon's brought goodies for the club to snack on at the meeting. Thanks to both families! We signed up to be "Host Families". Amy will call to remind people who signed up. We have about 30-40 people when it's your turn to bring. We had 6 people show at the American Royal.George showed in W/T. Monica did horse also. Jessica did Agility in Dog and got Reserve. She also won the run-off. Clarissa did agility also and got a red. Audriana showed in novice and showmanship in horse. Amy showed in West. Pl. and Eng. Equitation and Showmanship and placed in each. She also showed in Horsemanship. Way to go everyone!!! Quiz Bowl practice will be at Clarissa's house on 11/12 from 2-3PM. Our next meeting is Dec. 7th and you have lots of stuff to remember. See you then! Your Reporter, Garrett
