January News
  • 4-Hers, Here's what happened at the last meeting and since then. Dog Training. There will be dog training sessions starting Wed, Feb 15th at the green building. It will go for 6 Weeks. If you need more info call Brenda. Beginning balance 3,471.01. Ending balance 3,543.25. Brenda has pics for the historians that she will bring to the next meeting. Anyone else who has pics, please give them to Lauren V. and Monica. Extension Office Move date is scheduled for 3/31/06. They'll have a new phone number. New address is around 119th & Ridgeview. Jan. 28th. Horse Club is in charge of the commons area 10-11am at Spring Hill H.S. for Club days and also the Readings Rooms 12-4pm. See Michelle or Clarissa for signing up. Quiz Bowls. The Harvey Co. Quiz bowl is on 1/21. See Sandy. McPherson is 1/28. Look for several articles about Horse Club in the Jan. Clover Clips. Butch Donations. We had lots of donations brought to the meeting. Yeah!!! Please continue to bring for Butch and his buddies each month. Joyce says that letters and school pictures would mean alot to the soldiers. So take some time to write a letter telling about your day/life. Also, any money donations would be appreciated for shipping costs. Therapeutic Riding. Ask Joyce or Danielle. They asked for a show of hands on who might be interested in helping lead horses for horse rides for the handicapped. More info to come. Horse Trials. May 13th. This is for those who want to judge jumping at Longview in Lee's Summit. It's lots of fun, says Jessica. The day would be about 8:30am- 3:00pm-ish. See Michelle. Panorama. See Michelle. $60/person due to Michelle by Sun., Jan. 8th. Study Sessions. Jan. 14th is study session at the Shields' at 2pm. Dance Practice. All dancers need to wear boots and hats to all remaining practices. Only a few left. Everyone needs to be at all remaining practices. Jessica & Lauren C. held a horse trivia at the meeting. Everyone who got the question right got a blowpop. It was loads of fun! Overnighter. At the Overnighter, people first went swimming at the Lawrence Aquatic Center. Then we went to the Diamond Gymnastics Center. Everyone had a blast. There were about 25 kids there. We played games, made up by Jessica, Lauren C., Sandy, & Kate. We had pizza, cookies, candy, soda, etc. The dance teams even put on a little show. Anyone who has pics of the overnighter, please bring to the historians asap.
