September 2006 News
  • September ‘06 Hoofprints Newsletter
  • 4-Her’s,
  • We realize it’s a little late, but there was a mix-up and we are just now getting the Sept. Newsletter out. You already received the Oct. newsletter and the November one is in the making as we speak. Please check the web site for updates on announcements and the other newsletters. We are currently working on getting the Hostess List it’s own tab on the web site and also a tab for the upcoming Agendas as we receive them. We’ll leave the Agenda for the current month up on the web site until a new one becomes available. This should give you more info when you use the web site.
  • At September’s Monthly Meeting:
  • Justin had a birthday.
  • State Fair is scheduled for Sept 15-17. There will be no additional decorations for State Fair. Use your stall boards that were made for County Fair to decorate your stalls. Get your parking passes and gate tickets from Brenda. Check for carpooling also.
  • The American Royal Youth Show is scheduled for Sept 23-24.
  • The county fair concession stand made quite a profit. Yeah for us!!
  • Bring any tickets or money to Michelle for the Rodrock Yearling Drawing. The drawing for the yearling will be during the Am. Royal Qtr. Horse Show on Oct. 28th.
  • Volunteers are needed during the Sept. 9 4-H Horse Show. Brandy agreed to be ring steward, along with Kevin; Sandy will announce; Joyce will work registration. Thanks to our volunteers. We need more so call a community leader to offer your help. Otherwise, just step right in.
  • Year End Awards Banquet date has been set…Sat. Nov. 18 at 7pm in the white building. Everyone is to bring 2 dishes to share…whatever you choose. Meat, table service, and drinks are provided.
  • Jake and Sandy are in charge of the Hayride/Fall Committee.
  • Sign up to provide drinks/treats at our monthly meetings with Lauren Vaughn.
  • Mahaffie Farmstead requested a drill team performance for Sept 23…not enough people.
  • Officer Elections took place:
  • Clarissa – pres. Lauren V. – vp Jessica – treasurer Lauren C. – secretary County Council Reps – Heidi & Alexis Corresponding Secretary – Julia Recreation – Danielle & Justin Historians – Tristen R. and Grace Sargeant at Arms – Kassidy Reporter – Garrett Community Leaders – Sandy C. & Nancy R. Parliamentarian – appointed by pres. Goes to Shelby V.
  • Congratulations Everyone!
  • We will have official installation of officers at the next meeting on Oct. 4th.
  • Panorama is scheduled for Feb 10-11 in Rock Springs. This is the same day as Club Days. We are trying to find if a judge will judge us on the evening before (Fri) so we can still make it to Panorama on time.
  • REMINDER: You must do the following: -Attend at least 5 horse club meetings -Participate in at least 1 community service project -Participate in at least 1 Horse Club arena clean-up -Help with at least 1 fundraiser -Be part of at least 1 committee …in order to be eligible for year-end awards.
