  • Collette is an official member.
  • There were 7 visitors at our Nov. meeting.
  • Historians need pics.
  • County Council-no meeting this month.
  • Adriana is taking Shelby's place as our new Parliamentarian. Congratulations to Adriana!
  • American Royal-They drew for the Rodrock yearling colt and we’re not sure who won (Someone named Rachel). It was sort of uneventful. We were told there were 617 tickets sold by Horse Club.
  • 4-H Achievement Night is on Nov. 11th at 5:30 pm at the green building . Ceremony; $5 for dinner; call Pat at the Extension Office for Reservations.
  • Fall Party/Hayride: 5pm at Richardson’s on Nov. 4th. Bring a side dish, flashlights, pumpkin pre-carved, wheelbarrow. We’ll have a bonfire, s’mores, hot dogs, games, etc.
  • Committee Sign-up Sheets: Kids and parents…everyone needs to sign up on a committee. See Sandy.
  • Community Service Committee: 4 X $25 for Angel Baskets (Thanksgiving Meal) to go to needy. This totals $100 which is already in the budget.
  • Horse Club Year End Awards Banquet: Nov. 18th at 7pm at the white building on the fairgrounds. Bring 2 sides.
  • Check out the website. It’s being updated by Nancy and Garrett. www.jocohorseclub.org.
  • Enrollment cards and participation forms. Be sure these are turned in to Sandy ASAP.
  • Scheduled Horse Shows for our club:
  • Sat, May 26th is the Circuit Fundraiser Show
  • Sat, June 16
  • Sat, June 30
  • Sat, July 14
  • Sat, September 8th will be a Fun Show
  • Open Arenas at DG CO Fairgrounds: Every 3rd Tuesday of the month 4-Hers get in free. The number to call is 785-749-1737. Adults can ride for $15.
  • Mentoring Discussion: Older, more experienced 4-Hers are expected to help out younger, less experienced 4-Hers at horse shows, etc.
  • Arena Clean-ups for Jo Co.: Nov. 5 from 2-3pm (Someone needs to work the arena beforehand). Brenda will be there to supervise.
  • Equifest vs. Dance Regionals (Feb 24th)? Possible judging on Friday night, Feb 9th before Club Days so we can get to Panorama on time. Feb 10th is Club Days at Spring Hill High School. Feb 10-11 is Panorama in Rock Springs.
  • Dog Training on Wed. nights starting Feb 21st with Blue River Wranglers Club in the green building starting at 7pm. More info to come. See Brenda.
  • Host Families sign up for snacks and drinks for the year. See Lauren V. if you haven’t signed up yet.
  • Thank you to the Vaughn’s and Fangman’s for snacks and drinks for the Nov. Meeting. The Dec. snacks are Ptak’s and drinks are Wingate’s.
